THREE KEY REASONS

WHY YOU SHOULD FIND A 1 REP MAX.

  1. Knowing your 1rep max will give you more accurate percentages to go off of during strength cycles. This will help maximize your bodies ability to adapt and become stronger during these cycles. 

  2. A 1RM creates much less time under tension, putting less strain on the body. It is easier to focus on body position, bracing  and technique with a heavy 1 rep than it is to struggle through three repetitions at high percentages.

  3. 1 rep maxes allow you to test your strength and challenge your mind. This helps with developing confidence in life and better intensity while exercising. You also get to celebrate all the gains in the room with your friends and lifting family! Also. 1 REP MAXES ARE FUN!!

5 reps at 55%

3 reps at 65%

2 reps at 75%

1 rep at 80-85%

1-1-1-1-1....at 90%+++
